YJ Grazidei/Stadler Clinches Victory Over YJ Torre/Mitchell in Freshmen vs Sophomore Match

The first half of the game was a close contest, with YJ Grazidei/Stadler building a 5-1 leading in the first half before YJ Torre/Mitchell rattled off three straight goals to close the gap to a 5-4 game at the half. This set the stage for an intense second half, as both teams demonstrated their competitive spirit.
Reclaiming the momentum, YJ Grazidei/Stadler added four more goals to their tally in the second half, while YJ Torre/Mitchell managed to score three. The consistent performance of YJ Grazidei/Stadler in the second half was pivotal in securing their victory.
For the Yellow Jackets freshmen they were sparked by Juliann Brzeski with three goals and two assists as well as two goals from Katelynn Murtha. Also finding the scoring column for one goal each were Maddy Herr, Quinlan Heilbronn, Kate Paul, and Jadyn Stadler.
Meanwhile the sophomores were led by Madison Sussi who continues to light up the winter league as she delivered a hat-trick. Scoring one goal each was Carly Amato, Sara Richardt, Gianna McNulty, and Kamryn McCrary. In the ground ball department coming up with two each was Richardt, Mia Modica, Caroline Scully, and Ava Tiedemann. YJ Torre/Mitchell also saw very strong second half performance in the net by Hailey Stratton who made seven saves with a save percentage of 63%.
In week 3 YJ Torre/Mitchell will be back this Thursday night at 10:15 against the Mustangs of Mt. Sinai. YJ Grazidei/Stadler will take the field this Sunday afternoon at 12:15 against the Garden City Trojans.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
